Oral Health
The Arizona Department of Health Services, Office of Oral Health identifies that "tooth decay remains one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood especially for Arizona children" (AZDHS, 2016). It is critical for young children to brush and floss their teeth daily to ensure they have healthy teeth and gums. Children with tooth decay, cavities and/or other oral health issues are often in pain or suffering. Good oral health is a very important factor in child's ability to be ready to learn.
