How to Become a 'DES Contracted'
Child Care Center
or
Group Home
The Department of Economic Security (DES) contracts with Licensed child care centers to care for ten or more children at a location separate from their residence and with Licensed Group Homes to care for up to 10 children in their residence. A child care center or group home must be contracted with DES and licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services to provide care for families who receive DES child care subsidy.
As a child care provider contracted with DES, you have taken the steps to meet a high level of standard in order to provide the best possible service for the children in your care. To maintain your contract, you are required to complete a mandatory child care provider registration agreement and keep your information on file with DES current.
